There are many people interested to acquire understanding about the Mayan culture due to the large amount of talk that are being made from their prediction about doomsday occurring on 21st December 2012. This civilization lasted for 1400 years and had witnessed great development in various fields. Though most of the scientists deny any such events occurring in future, there are few scientists who are giving some reasons for such kind of possibility in future. This event might be triggered by several causes such as meteor fall, radiation entering earth’s surface and many others. Thus, understanding about the Mayan culture provides idea about their cultural thoughts, lifestyle, and ideas about existence of world. The demise of Mayan civilization still remains as a mystery that will be uncoded by scientists in future.

For your information, Asian Indians were the first one to introduce “0″ in number system and not Mayans. It was introduced by Arya Bhatta, an Indian mathematician and I don’t know the exact time period. In fact, the first Indian communications satellite was named after Arya Bhatta.
