The Mayan calendar is a composition of calendars and annual happenings such as weather reports and so on. The world that we live in has evolved to great extents and has emerged out of various civilizations. These civilizations have been the key for many inventions that are useful till now. The Mayan calendar was used by the Mayan civilizations belonging to pre-Columbian Mesoamerica. The most important thing that is concerned about this particular calendar is that it depicts the end of the world by 21st December 2012. This was also very significant with that of divine beliefs and to predict the future.

Many hoax and confusions has been created due to the much talked end of Mayan calendar. Some say that it would necessarily mean to the end of the world by means of various catastrophic events. Some believe that it marks to the beginning of new era. Many research scholars and rationalists have a different ideas concerned about the calendar. They highlight the important note on what does it necessarily mean. It is just a predicted calendar which was written in age old time and calculated till 21st august 2012. So it does not necessarily mean to the end of the world. So the hoax created around may be proved to be false over the years to come. Or it may be proved to be true.
