This is a long shot, but my thoughts are … doesn’t matter where earth gets hit in 2012, unless you’re in a secure underground bunker 200 feet below the surface you’re probably going to get fried. Whether it be a solar storm, a comet, earth is going to take a beating. Best bet is to prepare yourself with supplies of predried food. Never been a fan of UHT, but I’m guessing that will probably be a good idea to stock up on that and canned food. More importantly, store away some gas masks and stay away from coastal areas … if you’re in Australia .. I’d say save some money and petrol to get your butt to Uluru, as far away from the coastline would be a sensible thing to consider. I am preparing for the worse, but am enjoying the current. If nothing happens, hell spending a few thousand dollars won’t kill me, its just money … comes and goes. However if something drastic does happen towards 2012, I’d know its the best few thousand bucks I’ve ever spent!!! Anyone want to create a meetup group for 2012, email me.
