Alert Maps of the World


World wide Alert Map of actual events, refreshed every five minutes or so. You can monitor the entire globe or focus in on your global region.

This site emanating from Budapest, Hungary, covers

  • current emergencies (e.g. flash floods, tropical storms and epidemics),
  • short-time events (e.g. biological hazards and HAZMAT events, extreme weather and fire),
  • long-time or rolling events,
  • tsunamis and earthquakes,
  • active tropical storm,
  • geomagnetic storm monitoring (including solar radiation storms and radio blackouts), and
  • current active volcanoes.

The visual maps, enhanced by Google Earth, is fantastic and you can subscribe to an RSS feed as well.
